Spring Summer 2022 Collection

Aren’t we all tied up, unsuccessfully trying to loosen the knots?

Waist trapped in tight belts, we can’t breathe. Walking, but carrying our cages as if they are part of us. Seat aside, observe them walking under the spotlight to discover yourself in the concept. We have been raised, immersed in stiff traditions, religious beliefs and guided by heritage as a child. Now we put them on the table, reevaluating the past to transition into e better tomorrow. Since the early stage of the ACT N°1 project, the ruffles are constantly living on the runway as a symbol of the protest against underage weddings, which has become a concerning issue for the whole world. Fragments and elements of a wedding gown are attached to a jacket or a sweatshirt as the forcing power to deny a teenager their right to education, to become a lawyer or just a girl. Another symbol transformed into an icon is the heritage paintings of “Landscape” and “Peonies” printed on silk satin and duchess. Presented printed or attached to a trench coat, on structured dresses to silk shirts. 800’s petticoat crinolines used under trench coats dragging women back to idealization and restriction. Yet, the finale of the show is portraying a breakthrough from the imposed cages which constantly follow us. Metal detailed accessories, belt necklaces, loop earrings, doubled belts are rebel nuances to conservativism. Pants sewn into printed skirts, bra Jacket/suits, slip pants double hybrid items are dominant.

The new shoes for the show have been created for the first time as ACT N°1 x KALLISTÈ. The shoes by Kallisté, an Italian brand with a long-lasting leather heritage, have been ”vandalised” by ACT N°1 metal rings. The capsule is composed of maxi tubular flat and heeled flip flops in bio leather and square-toe boots and ankle boots in natural nappa leather. ACT N°1 is a brand established in Italy by International designers Galib Gassanoff and Luca Lin. The name has a precise meaning and it is intended as the designers ’infancy like the first act of their life, which inspired them in developing the brand. Its essence and image it’s all about its designer’s personal story and multicultural background with a focus on their childhood, home and lifestyle where antique Chinese fine art and Azerbaijani craftsmanship collide. Each season the Act N°1 show aims to express a story regarding inclusivity and women’s condition all over the world. The brand is steadily growing and it is distributed worldwide in the best stores.
